Meet our founder Dave De Meyer
At the age of 40, I found myself broke, alone and completely dispirited on a beach in Thailand. This was the paradise that had promised so much and yet delivered little. I had no formal education, no income prospects and knew nothing about myself. Nothing, except that I was a dreamer and still held hope that there was a better life for me.

At the age of 12, a tragic accident took my father’s life. He was only 31. On reflection that incident was the catalyst for my burning desire to make something of my life.

Leaving school at age 14, I helped my Mum make ends meet by working in a bakery for $1.50 an hour. I then jumped from job to job, trying to find my place in the world. I’ve been a paratrooper in the Congo, a bouncer, a corporate slave
and a beer delivery guy. I’ve been a business owner, real estate salesman and fledgling property developer. I lacked self-confidence, was intimidated by wealth, and too proud to ask for help. The only thing I had was determination and a dream.

Oh, and a calculator. I always had one of those with me.

I realize now that for many decades I was an unconscious visionary. As a young
boy I admired expensive watches. They symbolized success to me and I knew I had to have one. So I wrote to Rolex, asking for a brochure to be sent to me. When it arrived I carefully cut out all the pictures of the shiny timepieces and stuck them on my wall. This was my first vision board.

The accumulation of material things had always spelled success for me: cars, houses, designer clothes, jets. I was able to realize one of those things – a Ferrari – after only 12 months of running my drinks distribution business. It fuelled me to continue pursuing my dreams. Perhaps driven by my state of lack as a child, I always thought money and ‘things’ was the ultimate goal. In
fact I was such a fool for money I even risked my life for it, in the case of signing on to the army for a second term. My vision board was always filled with extravagant objects, but it became clear years later that something was missing.

After watching the movie The Secret, I heard about a man named Bob Proctor. I signed up as a live-streamer for one of his seminars called ‘The Paradigm Shift’. Suddenly a whole new world opened up to me. I learned that stretching out of your comfort zone and setting big goals for yourself makes you
grow, and that it is through this personal growth that you eventually attract all the things you want in life. I wanted to know more, to grow more, so I signed up for another event: “The Matrixx”.

In preparation for this event, it was suggested that I read the book "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. In the edition I read, with editor’s comments, there was a story about a real estate agent who had a certificate on the wall stating that she was a member of the Million Dollar Club. It reminded her of the things that she was capable of. I got so excited and wanted to become a member as well. So I started looking for the Million Dollar Club so I could join, but to my
surprise it didn’t really exist. It stated: “Milliondollarclub.com domain name for sale, call this number in Arizona.” Immediately my paradigm kicked in and said: “Who do you think you are? First you want to become a member and now you want to become the owner?! This book has sold over 120 million copies; you are surely not the first who saw this idea. Don’t make the call - they will ask for a million dollars to buy it and you don’t have that kind of money. You will look like a fool.” But the very next moment, something awoke in me and I overwrote the paradigm...the voices in my head that had kept me small and distant from achievement. I made the call and became the owner of the Million Dollar Club that very day.

Two weeks later, I boarded a plane to Toronto for “The Matrixx”, with a fairly simple idea: to sell certificates and membership cards to the Million Dollar Club. This was finally my time to shine. I literally had the ‘million dollar idea’ that would satisfy my thirst for success.

The Matrixx event is a very empowering environment where
like-minded people from all around the world connect and make big things happen. The connections I made and the ideas that came with it resulted in the creation of a platform that would change not only my life, but that of the entire personal development industry.

I was so excited to open the doors of the Million Dollar Club in December
2017, but unfortunately had to close them shortly after. It hadn’t begun how I’d hoped - there was obviously something missing from the concept of teaching people how to become millionaires but I was unsure of what it was.

The answer came to me when I next walked into my office and looked at my vision board. As always, it was filled with pictures of money, cars, houses, and fancy watches. I stared for hours at the huge board that had been in my office for a year and realized it no longer excited me. I finally understood that becoming a millionaire isn’t about getting or having more money. It’s about the person who you become in the process. It’s about becoming a millionaire in mind, body
and spirit first so that it can then manifest in your physical reality.

It became clear to me that everything I needed for success was already there – what was missing was the right people and connections, as well as the embodiment of the millionaire spirit. In order to align
myself I needed to personally evolve. So I changed the way I looked and exercised, what I ate and which hand I wrote with! I no longer pressed the snooze button, I read more and learned more and I fought the voices in my head. I became the guy who already had the success.

And then the right connections started to find me.

Nowadays the Million Dollar Club is an exclusive group of
like-minded people from all around the world who connect, mastermind and share knowledge. It’s a place where you can learn from true masters in their respective fields. Dave's 3 Key Lessons for Success

1. Be Persistent And Resilient:
When you set a goal you have to expect some bad weather along the journey. Just never ever give up.
2. Seek Proper Advice From Smarter People Than Yourself!:
There is no such thing as a ‘self-made millionaire’. Nothing worthwhile can be done alone. Surround yourself with people who are experts in their own field and never be the smartest guy in your own company!
3. Allow Yourself To Make Mistakes:
Rarely is anything ‘perfect’ first time round. Let yourself fail but learn from the mistakes, as they are the key to your success.
What top experts have to say ...
Creating wealth comes from one thing... a decision to do it. If you listen and take action on what you learn from the experts inside The Million Dollar Club, you will be well on your way.
