Research shows that people that start their day off with the proverbial bang are more productive, energized and happier than when they’d randomly ‘stroll’ into their days.

Starting your day with a bang means starting with intention. Being intentional about your day sets of higher vibrations, and those strong vibrations will, even before you will have done anything concrete, usher in positive thoughts and actions. The mere idea and willingness for success opens up channels for more good to come in and match your higher intentions. You can help your energy levels be more potent and soar throughout the day by creating first-rate daily habits.

Today we want to share some of the ways by which you can take control of your day. Because there is both a physical and a mental side to super charging your day, we’re going to divide it in 2 parts, the physical and the mental, so you get an even more clear idea of how to be effective.

There are many different ways to super charge your day. Giving your body the attention it needs is imperative for success. For the majority of people working out having a healthy diet is not part of their daily rituals but we at The Million Dollar Club cannot stress enough how important it is to make a priority of yourself. Start by changing your habits step by step. You don’t have to do everything all at once but implement little changes. Here are some tips and ideas.

Drink your water
The first thing you do when you wake up is drink water? It’s a great way to get your metabolisms started. You’ve been sleeping for at least 6 hours and your body is dehydrated. When you drink water (you can add lemon or ginger or any herb if you want) you’re going to physically start waking up, and we know from science that drinking water immediately upon waking up is going to give you up to 24% more energy for the next 90 minutes. 

Exercise is next on our list of things to do in the morning. Choose some form of physical activity. Could be as simple as stretching or doing a few jumping jacks but get up and move. If yoga or jogging suits you more, then do that. Even taking a short walk outside and breathing in some fresh air will get your blood flowing and provide the energy you will need for the rest of your day.

Eat nutritious food
We all know that our bodies need to be taken care of. Most people fill their stomachs but that’s not going to sustain you for the long haul. Starting your day with a good breakfast should be part of your daily routine. It is mind boggling to know how many people skip breakfast or to see what they actually put into their bodies. At the Million Dollar Club we educate ourselves about healthy eating and work with people that can teach us a thing or two. 

So, what exactly is a nutritious wholesome diet? Something that’s made out of natural ingredients, that are full of nutrients, vitamins, and proteinsWe’re not going to say try to avoid fat because there are different sort of fats. If anything, try to avoid having sugary breakfasts. The thing is, we can’t decide for you and your body type, and where you are currently on your health path. What we do know is that eating fresh produce beats processed foods, and including things like avocado’s, berries, nuts, buckwheat pancakes, organic eggs, almond or oat milk etc. will set you up for success. 

Extra tip
If you’re cramped for time make sure you have apples, nuts, carrots, cucumbers etc. at home. You can eat those on the go. This way you at least have eaten something nutritious and you won’t be tempted to buy that muffin or breakfast burrito.

It’s not always about what you eat but also about what you don’t eat. Some people eat healthy, but do they eat enough? And do they feed their body with the right amount of nutrition. Eating a carrot a day is not healthy just as eating a muffin a month isn’t going to break your health bank. At the end of the day it all comes down to balance. You have to figure out what that means to you.

Getting yourself in a productive mindset is so important. You can drink your lemon water, run a few miles and eat a really good breakfast but if you mope while doing it and don’t consciously focus on positive thoughts, you’ll lose grip on your day.

Concentrate on y
our big goals. Not your to do/task list for today. We’re talking ultimate dreams here. Picture them, say them out loud with affirmations, write them down if you will, or have it be affirmed to you in a different way but do something that works for you. 

Visualize the perfect day.
We know that morning rituals take time and not everyone has the luxury to spend 2 hours on establishing a beautiful routine. That’s ok. However, if you do find time, even if it is 10 minutes in the morning, try to incorporate practicing visualization.This is one of the most effective ways of getting your vibration to a higher level.

Keeping a journal is my absolute favourite thing to do because it has helped in so many ways to clear thoughts and allow new and healthy ideas to flow in. The act of writing automatically makes you concentrate on the both mental and physical aspect, and in a sense blocks external influence. Because you are focused on writing and getting your thoughts, ideas and feelings onto paper, you won’t be bothered and distracted by outward stimuli as much.

Listing the things that you are grateful for will magically move you to a place of positivity. This is so easy to do and something that you can get going at any moment. One of our MDC coaches taught us that just saying or writing thank you can become robotic. You’ll end up saying out loud what you are grateful for but won’t really feel grateful. It’s never about what you say, it’s about the emotions attached to it that will charge your body. He told us to not just say ‘thank you for… ‘, but also describe why you are grateful for what you have. This will strengthen the narrative and instill a sense of deep gratitude that is real. Energy doesn’t lie.


Wake up and don’t linger. Drink and eat healthy. Exercise. Work on your intentions and write down what you’re grateful for. State your ultimate goals. There are many different ways to get the most out of your day and it begins with owning the start of your day. Understanding that it’s about embracing momentum and creating new habits is the difference between living a success filled life or a life that is governed by things outside of yourself.
